Construction

The Go Glider features an alloy frame designed with a mountain bike geometry – that means a lower center of gravity and safer balancing. While slightly heavier than the Mini Glider it`s still lightweight and easy to carry.

The assembly is easy, instructions and tools are included.

Features

As it is designed for older children, the adjustable seat and handlebars is a necessity. The seat uses a quick release and can be set from 17.5 to 23 inches from the ground.

A safety feature prevents the front wheel to turn too far, another one is the child size brake on handlebar – some kids prefer to stop with their feet, however it can be useful considering the larger size of this balance bike.

Instead of a foot rest there are foot pegs here – quite useful as the kids can even stand on them when riding (see the picture below). They can be also twisted away if not needed. A convenient kick stand is present as well.

The large 16" foam tires provide a great ride, they are durable and don`t need any maintenance.

Should you buy the Go Glider?

The Go Glider is designed for kids who are at least 5 years old and as it is larger, it`s also more expensive than other running bikes. So there is a good question – is it worth it to spend the money on this bike as your kid will probably proceed to a traditional one after he learns balance? Well, yes and no.

If your kid seems to have no problems with stability, try the normal bike right away. However if there are some problems (or you buy a traditional bike and your child simply isn`t able to ride it), get the Go Glider. You can always sell or pass it to your friends afterwards. As one customer said:

"This glider bike worked a miracle, and even though we only needed it for 2 weeks it was worth every penny. I'm passing it down to friends now so their little kids can learn too."

Conclusion:  Go Glider is a perfect bike for older kids who are still not able to ride a traditional bicycle – we can definitely recommend it. For younger kids we would recommend you for example the Kazam or Strider bike.
