Construction
The Mini Glider features a quality and lightweight aluminum frame (so the good news is that it resists corrosion). The construction is solid and the bike is also easy to put together.
The center of gravity is quite low and a mountain bike geometry is used which means increased safety for your kid – it`s much more difficult to fall over.
Features
As the majority of balance bikes, the Mini Glider has an adjustable seat (a quick-release is used) and handlebars as well.
And as a bonus there are two additional features – a child sized hand brake and foot pegs. A lot of bikes use some kind of footrest, but the idea of these foot pegs is to simulate a natural foot position on a normal bicycle. However both these things don`t work as well as they seem to, particularly the hand brake is not necessary on a balance bike most of the time.
The foam tires work well, they are sturdy and have a good traction.
Recommended age
The official recommended age is 2-5 years – however a 2 old kid will experience some difficulties when riding the Mini Glider. The seat can be set really low which is ok, but the handlebars are too high even at the lowest position. And also the foot pegs can get in the way when the kid starts pushing himself at this age.
So we would rather recommend this bike from 2,5 or even 3 years.

Conclusion: Mini Glider is definitely a solid quality balance bike – safe and with good riding capabilities. Only if your kid is smaller (2 years old for example), we would rather recommend you some other vehicle – for example the Strider bike or YBIKE. |
